Fluctuations in refugee rulings trouble critics

A CBC News analysis shows dozens of members of the Immigration and Refugee Board are overwhelmingly refusing claims for asylum in Canada, while others are overwhelmingly approving them.

Monica Meza Verastegvi and her son Daniel, 5, are refugee claimants living in Calgary. A CBC News analysis has found some refugee board members are accepting or rejecting claims at disproportionate rates.
